i have just recently realized that my boyfriend is abusive and his abuse has escalated. he started out with verbal insults, cursing, name calling. when we would argue, he would lose control of his temper and rage, ending his rage with breaking up with me. the rages were bad. i have been called every insulting thing i can think of and was always blamed for setting off his rage. last weekend his rage escalated to him spitting in my face twice and calling me a fat cow. this was an insult he knew would cut me to the core. i realize it isn’t going to get better and i need to leave. i think it’s hardest because every abuser also has a sweet side that feels out of control of their abuse. but in the long run, that doesn’t change the fact that it will drown me…
