I would like some more information on battered men syndrome and how to help the victim without revictimizing them. I will tell you a little about my story. My father who I am now just coming to the conclusion is in an abusive relationship over the past 17 years, his girlfriend degrades him in front of other men and myself and my sister. He has just finished 15 weeks of chemo and has made great leaps toward his beating cancer, its seems that his abuser is getting worse now that he is feeling better and it seems that she is not in control of his life like she would like to she has even wanted him to sell his business. can anyone help my sister and I or give us advice that will not make him anymore ashamed. my story is too long to post so any advice for the children of the victim would be great, my fahter is 60 years old and i am 34thank you to all for reading my post.
