H2H InterActive Support Group | It’s All Good | just a thought.

I am nearing 40 and have never been or even thought I was pregnant and used t say, since I was 15, that i believed for some reason that I wasn;t able. But you never know, when the body begins to heal it may surprise you. Think of all those people who spends thousands in fertility treatments, then give up and adopt, only to have a surprise/oops baby a few years down the line? Also women are having babies later in life these days and while the health risks are greater, it is possible.I am so afraid of having children because I would fear that they would have to deal with what I did. Even if they didn;t have the father did, I was also kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a stranger when i was 14, and I would fear so much for a girl in the world.I am also afraid that whatever my scars from abuse are, that they could travel genetically to her or him. Maybe someday if I meet the right person. n the other hand I have always fantasized about adopting a child, finding someone out there that I could help. So maybe someday that might happen.I do agree with the others, that although it hurts to hear (and it was wise of you to be careful not to make promises you might not be able to keep), she is lucky to have you to talk to and you can be a great influence and role model, even though you may be far and contact is limited. She is lucky to have you.
